BGM’s Management and Board of Directors bring to the Company a depth of combined mining industry experience from Greenfields Exploration through to mine closure and reclamation. Their goal is to develop current resources more efficiently and effectively than ever, while simultaneously working towards building additional high-grade ounces and mines across the Cariboo district.
President & CEO
Mr. Chris Lodder has 25 years’ experience working on and managing Greenfields and Brownfields exploration with major and junior mining companies worldwide with the majority of his career focused in the Americas. Mr. Lodder is the President of Talisker Exploration Services Inc., an Ontario based Mining and exploration services company founded by Mr. Lodder in 2010, whose principal clients are Osisko Gold Royalties and their associated companies. From 1999 to 2010 he was South American Exploration Manager and later the Americas Exploration Manager for AngloGold Ashanti. He is widely recognized as the person responsible for the proposal, execution and management of AngloGold Ashanti’s successful Greenfields exploration program in Colombia, with the discoveries of the La Colosa and Gramalote deposits. Mr. Lodder’s team also discovered the La Rescatada Project now known as the Andres Mine in Peru.
Mr. Tinajero has over 20 years of business experience, having supported a broad range of industries, including mining, manufacturing and technology. During this same period, he has served as CFO and Vice President of Finance of several medium sized public companies across Canada. He holds a degree in Business Administration and an MBA, and is also a Member of the Canadian Institute of Certified Management Accountants, the Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia and he is a Certified member of the Institute of Corporate Directors. Luc Lessard is a mining engineer with more than 25 years of experience designing, building and operating mines. He was previously Chief Operating Officer of the Canadian Malartic Partnership (owned jointly by Agnico Eagle and Yamana), and prior to that was the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering and Construction for Osisko Mining Corporation where he was responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of the world class Canadian Malartic gold mine. Prior to Osisko, Mr. Lessard was Vice President of Engineering and Construction for IAMGOLD and General Manager, Projects for Cambior Inc. During his career, Mr. Lessard has worked on 11 open pit and underground mine builds. Today, Mr. Lessard is the President, CEO and Director of Falco Resources, Senior Vice-President, Technical Services of Osisko Gold Royalties, and sits on the Board of Directors of Highland Copper and Bowmore Exploration.
Paul F. Geddes, P.Geo. (APEGBC Licence 42267), has more than 20 years exploration and development experience in Canada and the United States, with a strong background in delineating structurally complex gold deposits and building mineable resources in a cost-effective and timely manner. Mr. Geddes has held various roles with major and junior mining companies, including Noranda Mining and Exploration Ltd., Teck Exploration Ltd., INCO Technical Services Ltd., and North American Palladium Ltd. Most recently, he oversaw the nearly thousand-fold increase in global gold resources for Rainy River Resources Ltd.’s operations west of Fort Frances, Ontario, prior to the company’s takeover by New Gold in October 2013. Mr. Geddes is the Qualified Person (QP) for BGM in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects.
VP Environment and Sustainability
Chris Pharness is an environmental professional with over 20 years of environmental and resource management experience in northern British Columbia, and has been with BGM since 2013. Chris’ breadth of experience includes mining, forestry, oil and gas and large scale construction projects, with extensive involvement in fish and wildlife management based research and project management. Much of Chris’ work and personal history have allowed him to build close relationships with First Nations, local communities and regulatory agencies in BC. “My goal is to foster trust in BGM’s relationships through honest dialogue, transparency and delivery on commitments”.
David Rouleau is a Mining Engineer with 30 years of operational and management experience. David was recently the VP of Operations with Taseko primarily responsible for theGibraltar Mine. Previous to that he was a key member of Canadian Natural Resources Senior Management team developing the Horizon Oil Sands Project in Fort McMurray. David’s background also includes 17 years with Teck Cominco in various operations and engineering roles at a numberof their mine sites. . David holds a Bachelor of Science Mine Engineering Degree from South Dakota School of Mines and a Mine Technology Diploma from the Haileybury School of Mines.
Mr. Vézina is a Mining Engineer with over 17 years of experience in mining and has extensive experience in open pit and underground operations in Canada, Mexico and Finland. Mr. Vézina was Technical Service Manager for Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited and was responsible for overseeing the completion of the feasibility studies of LaRonde II, Pinos Altos and Kittilä. Mr. Vézina participated in the construction and commissioning of Pinos Altos as Mine Development Manager and Kittilä as Mine Operations Manager before joining the Osisko Mining Corporation and participating as Mine Manager in the construction of the Canadian Malartic Mine. He served for over 5 years as Mine Operations Manager at the Canadian Malartic mine. Mr. Vézina is a specialist in mine operation optimization and is recognized for innovative mining techniques and optimization of feasibility studies. Mr. Vézina holds a Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering and a Master in Business Administration (MBA). He is a registered Engineer in Quebec, British Columbia and Ontario.
Dr. Harbort is a professional economic geologist with 24 years of multi-continent experience in mineral exploration. His extensive post-graduate experience focusing on applied structural geology of ore deposits makes Mr. Harbort a specialist in mapping and interpretation of ore geometries and ore controls covering various types of geological environments with direct applications to mineral economics from target generation, target definition and evaluation, and project management. Terry is a recognized senior member of the discovery team of the La Colosa and Gramalote deposits for AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. where over a 9 year period he held positions of Senior Geologist and Chief Structural Geologist for the Americas. In 2010, Terry was a founder and is Vice President -Exploration of Talisker Exploration Services Inc. an exploration management company providing international exploration consulting in M & A and exploration strategy, project evaluation, target generation and exploration program design and implementation for Osisko Gold Royalties and related companies.
